COORDINATION AND CENTRALIZATION OF INTERNATIONAL SURVEYS

ESTEL uses both technical means and human resources to secure the centralization of international barometric surveys.

This centralization ensures compatibility in data collection and handling (translation, coding) methods, so that there can be a comparison of results from different countries. :
  • Real time quality control of data collection, internal translation and coding
  • Consistent training methods and interviewer follow-up
  • Compatibility of technical tools for address files and survey management.
  • Cultural bias control
ESTEL carries out half of its activity abroad.

MEANS AND DEVICES EMPLOYED

In order to manage all international surveys internally, ESTEL relies on Research teams made up of the following nationalities (Italian, Spanish, German, English, Portuguese and Turkish).

Each team of interviewers works in its own mother tongue and is supervised by a team leader speaking the same language.

The centralization of international surveys requires a large internal production capacity, divided into two telephone Production services :

  • 150 operator work stations, of which 120 are CATI work stations in Alfortville (near Paris)

  • 20 CATI work stations in Pudong (economic development area in Shanghai) :
ESTEL has set up, in China, through MICA (Marketing Information and Consulting Activities), a 100% subsidiary of ESTEL, founded in 2003.

Also, teams specialized in translation and coding employ transversal techniques, which insure that results can be compared

(translation in several directions, identical coding instructions for all countries, results and verbatim translations in a selected language).
